A FLY FISHER'S GUIDE TO THE SOUTH PLATTE RIVER is a complete how-to fly-fishing manual for the entire South Platte River drainage. This book represents decades of experience from the top guide on this demanding river, and encompasses a thorough look at each section of the river. In addition, Pat gives details on the hatches and recommends fly patterns for each season of the year.
Orvis-endorsed guide Pat Dorsey has been guiding for more than ten years. He spends at least 200 days a year on the stream. Pat is also a master flytier who has been commercially tying flies for more than fifteen years, producing up to 28,000 flies a year. Active in Trout Unlimited and the conservation of cold-water fisheries, Pat has won the annual Master Fly Tournament in Cheesman Canyon five out of eight years. Pat, his wife Kim, and their five children reside in Parker, Colorado.
